Christopher Bucio is a trial lawyer with a history of success in Criminal Defense and Injury cases. Chris’ trial history includes “Not Guilty” verdicts in several high profile criminal cases, which include: Attempted Murder, Rape, Kidnapping, Abduction, Felonious Assault, Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor, and Child Pornography.
Chris is willing to take on difficult to litigate injury cases and see them all the way through trial, while many other lawyers would rather settle. This is one of the distinctions that sets him apart from other lawyers.
Chris has been selected by AVVO.com for the Client Choice Award for his consistent high marks, and also reviewed highly by former and current clients. Additionally, Mr. Bucio has been selected as Ohio’s Business Man of the Year for his dedication and leadership of his law firm. In 2013, his firm received a Reader’s Choice Award from the Sidney Daily News.
As a result of his experience, Chris has appeared on national and local television. He has also served as a moderator for various functions and has also been invited to speak to schools and other public audiences.
After graduating from Newton High School and earning All State Honors in basketball, Chris enrolled at Bluffton University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology in less than three years, all while playing college basketball. After graduating with honors from Bluffton University, he earned a law degree from the University Of Cincinnati College Of Law. At the time of being sworn in, he was the youngest member admitted to the Ohio Bar. Following Law School, Chris opened up his own law practice in Troy, Ohio in 2004. Chris then eventually partnered with OSBA Certified Specialist in Family Law, Roberta S. Roberts and partner Scott Kelly and has grown a boutique firm into a six office firm which is spread throughout Ohio.
